The Madre de Dios property is located in the mountains of southeast Peru. The mine is open pit, with a valley fill operation, processed by crushing ore.
In 2014, mined by others, the mine yielded an output of 582,000 ounces of gold with an average cost margin of $293 per ounce.
The 2015 production yield is set to exceed 600,000 ounces while maintaining a cost of approx. $300 per ounce.
Our geologists estimate as of year-end 2014, the available reserves to be in the region of 2.8 million ounces.
